    • The building is divided into grid squares (usually 20 per floor).
    • Signal strength is measured on the public safety frequency band (Orange County Fire/Rescue uses 800 MHz).
    • Requirements:
      • 95% coverage in general building areas.
      • 99% coverage in critical areas (stairs, fire pump rooms, fire command center, exit passageways).
  4. Documentation
    • Test results must be submitted in a Radio Coverage Test Report.
    • Report is reviewed by the City of Orlando Fire Marshal’s Office.
    • If coverage fails → a BDA/DAS system must be installed.
