In all new and existing buildings, minimum radio signal strength for emergency services department communications shall be maintained at a level determined by the AHJ, and based on the existing coverage levels of the public safety communication systems utilized by the jurisdiction, measured at the exterior of the building.
ACTION REQUIRED: Location shall provide assessment of Emergency Responder Radio System Coverage that meets the following requirements:
- passing report shall reflect a DAQ of 3.0 or greater for DL and UL.
- DAS assessment must contain actual DAQ reading obtained by walking the property with radios, not computer generated only DAQ on the report.
- Radios can be programed by the Orange County Radio Authority for testing.
